The Abloy EL582 handle controlled lock–case for solid doors, wooden or metal, in which both outside and inside handles are electrically controlled, although mechanical opening by cylinder or thumbturn is always possible.

Abloy EL582 is recommended to be used in interior doors of business premises, public buildings, hospitals, educational premises and the exterior doors of apartment buildings and detached houses.

Can be electrically controlled by access control system or by a remote control system such as timer, keypad or push button. Can also be set fail locked or fail unlocked; in the fail locked setting the lock can be opened by handle when power is on and cannot be opened by handle when power is off. Whereas fail unlocked ensures the electrical function is reversed.

Not suitable for use with door automatics.

Please be aware if the electric lock/s have been spoiled during install e.g. cut wires then the warranty is void as the lock cannot be resold and placed back into stock.
