The Abloy 4190 Lockcase works in one of two ways, both of which are determined by the position of the snib.
With the snib in the upwards position, the latch bolt will protrude 21mm. This means the lock can ONLY be opened with a key or thumbturn.
Whereas with the snib in the downwards position, the latch bolt will protrude 14mm. This means the lock can also be opened with a lever handle, as well as a key or thumbturn.
The 4190 Lockcase recommended to be used with a micro switch locking box: 4692, 4693 and Striker plates 4690, 4691, LP711, LP714, LP721, LP731
